Yes, Amelia, you are
EIGHT months old today! Two bottom teeth have made a cameo, and FOUR (count em FOUR!) top teeth are on their way to smiling stardom. You can stand when holding on to something like the couch, glider, or our hands. You love sitting up to play and sometimes prefer it to lying down. You love to splash and kick in the bathtub - now you get baths in the big kid tub! You still love nighttime snuggles and you're babbling like crazy. Most importantly, you've said "DADA" and "MAMA!" ("Dada" first for two weeks and then finally some oh-so-sweet "mama's.") When it comes to food, you eat almost anything... making a list is getting tricky. You've figured out how to eat cantaloupe (one of Daddy's favorites) on your own, which is a joy to watch. I apologize for not posting this past month, but we've been so busy enjoying you... playing with you, eating with you, traveling with you, swimming with you and so many more special times. You are growing so quickly (you are so tall!) - we can only imagine what next month will bring! I will add a handful of snapshots from Month Eight soon, but you'll find a few from our monthly shots today below...
LOVE YOU SO.
Changes:
- Standing while holding on to something
- "Mama" and "Dada" and many more amazing sounds!
Noises:
- In addition to our favorite "Mama" and "Dada," you love to say "Baba" - not sure what it means. (We've also heard "Ha," "La" and "Na" - and maybe "oo" and "eeee")
Food:
- New: salmon, french toast, zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes, Mum Mums, shortribs (thanks Dad!), bread, mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, spaghetti, beef stew (and other thicker consistency foods), and many more I can't even remember! (You love to taste what we're eating.)
